Handspun Yarn

I have been spinning and dyeing natural fibre for over 40 years. There is nothing quite like knitting or crocheting a project from yarn, that has been handspun directly from raw wool. If you have not had the opportunity to use handspun yarn, you are missing out.

Handspun yarn is not mass-produced; so it may have lumps, bumps and wonky bits. There is a good reason for this. Yarn spun using machines is industrial and must produce perfect skeins every time. Nifty Needles yarn is handspun using spinning wheels adding to the charm and uniqueness of the spun yarn.

Every skein in the shop is unique and is impossible to replicate. This uniqueness especially applies to the dyed skeins and once sold, there are no more. So, if you knit or crochet and, enjoy working with natural materials and, are looking for that special something, then these unique special yarns are what you need. You can use them to create a luxury or practical item from these limited-edition yarns. I have a variety of handspun skeins on offer that you can use for those special projects.

Once purchased, your handspun yarn will arrive in a reusable linen drawstring bag, so you will have somewhere to store your project. The skein wound into a yarn cake is ready for you to start creating.

A special skein of handspun makes a unique and wonderful gift for anyone who knits, crochets or weaves. If you are purchasing a skein as a gift and would like a message included in with the skein, just let me know by using the contact details on the website, and I will include a message.

Time allowing I also take commissions for hand spinning, so please feel to message me with your request and we can discuss the details.

I do all my spinning in a non-smoking pet-friendly home studio.
