Description
Blue-faced Leicester – Fine Autumn Hues. This wool is classed as long-wool with lustre. It is fine and dense and known for its likeness to mohair. The production of attractive lustrous yarns is suitable for mitts, scarves and shawls.
This fibre was hand-dyed with professional wool dyes using my slow cooker dyeing method for colour fastness.
This hand dyed braid was split and spun onto two separate bobbins, then plied together to create a 2-ply marbled effect yarn.
The yarn thickness is in the 1” notch of the wooden gauge.
Wool ply – Laceweight
Recommended needle size – 1.25-4mm
