The Botanical Series are a collection of cushions featuring lovely painted and embroidered flowers using the Inktense colouring pencils and heat set. The painting is then embroidered using a simple back stitch to bring the flowers to life. If you love colouring in, then you will love this technique to bring into your sewing.
The cushion has a binded edge around to look like piping and features a button closure at the back. It is a great introduction to button holes, cushion construction and how to apply binding. The pattern takes you through the entire process step by step, fully supported with colour line diagrams.
SIZE – Approximately 18” square
This extensive pattern (10 pages) is supported with full colour line diagrams to make following and reading the pattern straight forward. The templates are full size, so there is no need to enlarge them. It has also been tested by my wonderful group of pattern testers.
