Calico- bleached is a 100% cotton fabric This makes it ideal for all quilting, embroidery and creative projects.

Calico’s natural properties make it the ideal fabric for dyeing. It is also suitable for use in conjunction with other natural fabrics as part of larger textile projects such as quilts, wall hangings etc.

The white is the bleached state of the fabric.

I use calico for my Inktense colouring, and whitework designs.

The bleached calico is slightly finer than the unbleached calico. I recommend to iron a fine interfacing to the back of the fabric design. This will prevent the threads showing through from the back to the front of the fabric.

The price is for a 1/2 metre (Approx 20 inches) of fabric and the width is approximately 44 Inches (112cm).
Multiple purchases will be cut in one continuous length (e.g. a quantity of 2 meaning 2 x 1/2 m = 1 metre, which would be cut and sent as a 1 metre piece)
