Daisy Chain Cushion

£6.00£7.50

This cushion has simple embroidery which can be enhanced with the simple technique of Inktense painting. There is no need to do the Inktense technique, this design would look stunning in simple Redwork, maybe using a thread colour that compliments your fabric squares. The pattern has easy to follow instructions to take you through this technique. The panels are joined with 2 ½” squares, so is a great way to stash bust.

Description

Daisies symbolize innocence, new beginnings and purity…. All of us have fond memories of when we were young (and maybe not so young) of spending relaxing days in a field of daisies, creating daisy chains to wear in our hair, being the one who could create the longest chain, by threading a string of daisies threaded together by their stems, or even pulling the petals off, one by one, to see if ‘he loves me, he loves me not’. I love a daisy chain, it brings forth so many memories of being young and innocent.

The cushion back features a button closure and a scrappy 2” square buttonhole band. The cushion is then stitched around the outside to create a mock binded edge.

SIZE – Approximately 18” square
