I think that maybe ‘everything stops for tea’, especially with some home baked cake. The Irish are well known for their tea drinking and is firmly fixed into Irish custom. As soon as you get invited inside an Irish home, you will be offered a cup of tea. And when you have finished that cup, another (& another) will be offered to you.

Drinking tea is known for so many benefits for our physical and mental health. So why not celebrate our tea drinking habits with this delightful wall hanging and enjoy our daily cups of tea. Don’t forget the cake as well.

The completed design can be simply framed for a stunning effect or fabric borders stitched around to create a lovely wall hanging. The choice is yours. The pattern gives you detailed instructions on doing the Redwork embroidery, as well as doing Inktense colouring, to complete the design. This is aimed at beginner level so a great introduction into Redwork.

If you frame the panel, then there is no machine sewing – it is completely hand sewn. The wallhanging is a good introduction into patchwork if you are new to quilting.
