Flying Geese units are created from a rectangle that is twice as long as it is high with a peaked triangle at the centre of the unit. There are several ways to make the flying geese and if you are after a scrappy look and not making many, then the single unit construction is great to use. If you are making a load of identical flying geese for a quilt, then using the ‘No waste’ method, is the better way to go.
This tutorial has diagrams and easy to follow instructions on creating [1] Flying Goose unit as well as the ‘no waste’ method to produce [4] Flying Geese units.
The PDF is for a 4 page file for you to print out at home. I would highly recommend that you print the file out double sided and onto 100gsm weight paper for added strength and durability.
The printed option is for 1 set of [2] doubled sided pages printed onto 100gsm weight paper. There is also an option to have the set sent WITHOUT holes punched, or WITH holes (4 holes) punched to fit into the 4 hole handmade board folder.
