Honey to the bee – is a phrase indicating that you are drawn to something sweet. Honey bees are attracted to the sweet nectar of certain flowers. From these flowers, bees produce honey that we can all agree is lovely & sweet.
This trio of embroidery designs feature a honey bee depicting the cycle of honey. The stitches used are simple embroidery stitches with the introduction of a lovely textured stitch – Woven Stitch for the beehive. This is a deceptively simple stitch, but so effective in creative a beehive. Full instructions with line drawings are included in the pattern to show you how to do each embroidery stitch. So don’t be put off in doing these designs, if you have never attempted embroidery before.
The finished designs were designed to fit into a wooden frame set which can be purchased here. Each frame measures 4″ x 6″. However, if you prefer to make these embroidery designs into a wallhanging, I have included the requirements and instructions to do so.
