Joint Virtual Retreat with Take Time Retreats – Based in Canada – and Nifty Needles – Based in Northern Ireland. This is the first joint venture between Take Time and Nifty Needles and hopefully it wont be the last.
The dates/time for the retreat are Friday 22 October / 6pm-late in the evening; Saturday 23 October / mid-day-late in the evening; Sunday 24 October 2pm-late in the evening.
With zoom it is now possible to join other crafters around the world and without leaving the comfort of our own home. What better way to meet other like minded people around the world, than with a virtual craft weekend. There is a time difference, which is why we will be starting our day later so we can join with the ladies in Canada and craft/chat into the evening (or later).
We will start off the retreat at 6pm Friday evening, just before the Canadians join us at 10am their time. On Saturday and Sunday we will join in at around mid-day before the Canadians start and continue into the evening. The room will be open till midnight Canadian time, so all the night owls here in the Uk can stay on crafting and chatting with the Canadian ladies.
Take Time retreats has hosted many of the Virtual Retreats and they are very successful with well over 30 ladies ‘attending’. Carol who organises the events is truly a great host and the time I participated with them, was brilliant. I am sure you will all have a wonderful time if you choose to partake in the retreat. There are ‘break-out’ rooms when you can gather with others in a small group to get to know each other and craft away from the main room, though there will be times when we will all gather together for joint activities and door prizes. The retreat is open to all crafters – sewers, quilters, knitters, crocheters, cross stitchers, embroiderers, card makers – basically – all crafters!
There are spot ‘door’ prizes throughout the day from both Canada and here in Northern Ireland. There is a Canadian Vendor, coming on to do a ‘pop-up’ shop on Sunday (6pm our time) and I am hosing a Inktense tutorial/demo on the Saturday evening, and maybe a small demo or two when the Canadians are still in bed… The theme is relaxed and basically just to take time out for yourself and recharge. On Sunday everyone is encouraged to do a ‘show and tell’ so everyone can see what you have been working at.
The cost for virtual retreat is £25 for the full weekend. To secure your space on the retreat please purchase the PDF which will take you to the Google Form registration which you need to fill in and email back to me for confirmation. The PDF will also give you more information on the Take Time Virtual Retreat. The links for the zoom class will be emailed to you a week before the Retreat weekend.
I sincerely hope you join us for this weekend, as it promises to be a great weekend crafting in Canada!
