This beautiful set of baskets is a great beginners project making cute, yet practical items. The baskets are useful for storing so many things from the small basket being filled with buttons or threads to the large basket being ideal to store your fat quarters to your current project. They are not just for sewing or craft projects – why not make some baskets from nautical themed fabric for your bathroom or in a cute animal print for a child’s bedroom? The ideas of uses and designs are endless.
These baskets use Decovil to create sturdy sides to them, so they stay rigid, yet flexible. Decovil can be substituted with BOSAL Foam interfacing to create sturdy foam sides. If using BOSAL, there is NO need to use wadding.
The fabric requirements are enough to make 4 baskets – 2 small, 1 medium and 1 large. The pattern also has a bonus pattern for making a pincushion from the cut away squares which make the basket bottom.
