Such a well-known poem deserves to be remembered over the festive season. Memories from childhood as the story was read out on Christmas Eve to all the children snuggled in their pyjamas ready for bed but too excited to sleep with the expectation of what Santa would leave them in the morning.
This simple Redwork design came about after a sleepless night with my brain in overdrive about designing a needlework design depicting the well-known poem. I wanted to do it in Redwork using the basic embroidery stitches so it was a quick project. The design is suitable for all skill levels and is a great introduction to needlework.
How you display them is entirely your choice. You can frame them into their own frames or make them into a wall hanging or cushion (instructions are not given). I have displayed mine in a self-standing frame duo so they can sit on a window sill or shelf.
SIZE – Each design – 7 ½” high x 5 ½” wide
